Composition
The product is having high solid contents 55% with low viscosity and no
odour. This results in non usage of solvents, which is harmful for
environment and human breathing.
As the viscosity is low it results in extra coverage in comparison to
earlier conventional water based adhesives.
Introduction
POLYVAM GR 101 is a milky white ethelene vinyl acetate non plasticized
Copolymers emulsion, solid content approx. 55% because of its very good
adhesive properties Gr101 is a raw material which is particularly suitable
for the manufacturing of adhesives for difficult substrates such as
lacquered surface and plastic films in the packaging and paper industries.
It is also suitable for floor, wall and ceiling adhesives.
After drying it forms a clear, very soft, flexible film with low surface
tackiness, exhibit very good adhesive behavior on an extremely wide range of
plastic material especially polyvinyl chloride (PVC) product GR101 is a good
resistant to aging, light & saponification.
Compatibility with resin solutions soft resins, plasticizers, solvent &
extenders is generally good, although this should be checked in each
individual case.

Vinyl Acetate- Ethylene Emulsion (EVA Emulsion) is a copolymer of
vinyl acetate with low ethelene content having been developed as a powerful
adhesive base, which offers the following special characteristics like
- Initial adhesive strength,
- High wet tack,
- Good creep resistance,
- Water resistance,
- Alkali Resistant,
- Good thickening response,
- Safety in operations.
The main applications are as follows
EVA Emulsions can bond a greater variety of surfaces then presently
available polyvinyl acetate emulsion base and effective in bonding polyvinyl
chloride films. The EVA emulsion effectively bonds such a variety of
substrates like paper, wood, cotton cloth, hardboard, urethane foam and
certain types of coated paperboards.
EVA Emulsions are also effectively used for civil and construction works to
improve the adhesion power and water resistance of mortar.
EVA Emulsions are available with different viscosities and solid contents
to cater specific needs of industry in usage.
EVA Emulsions may be used as coatings and also as adhesive for bonding.
Coating gives clear and flexible films gives protection from direct sun
light and it is resistant to yellowing colour on ageing effect.
The main applications are as follows
- Heat resistant (Upto 90°C)
- Free from solvents (Water based)
- No smell
- Excellent bonding strength,
- No crack or unglue under normal conditions
- Excellent aging-resistant performance
- Environment friendly
- Economical to use
- Applies manually or from lamination machines
